On the piezoelectric drive unit (2), a pair (5) of arms (6) starts out from a connecting zone (10) of the resonator. The arms each terminate at an outer end, in a region of mechanical contact (7) with the stationary component, e.g. a shaft (1). Through oscillation of the arms, which move to and from each other, relative motion is caused between drive and shaft. A positioner is also claimed. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacture.
