The fire protection device has two plate-shaped vertically arranged fire protection units with respective cover plates (3). A filling (4) made of fire-proof material is accommodated between the cover plates. A threaded rod (6) extending in a horizontal direction over two fire-protection units is provided between the cover plates, where the threaded rod is provided with end-sided retaining parts (7) for force-fitted connection of the fire-protection units. A functional auxiliary device (10) e.g. magnetic holder, is connected with the retaining parts.
