A sliding structure for a portable electronic device is provided to realize a simple structure, thereby accomplishing an economical and slim structure while a sliding action can be controlled in optimum state. The second slider member(120) is mounted on the first slider member(110) to slide thereon. An elastic member(130) is mounted on either the first slider member(110) or the second slider member(120), and is formed in hollow closed figure type. One pair of fixed pins(121a) is disposed at certain intervals on the other of the first slider member(110) and the second slider member(120), where the elastic member(130) is not mounted.
