The invention relates to a brush-holder (1) for a rotating commutated electric motor, comprising a support (10), provided with a central hole (5) to permit the commutator through, for arranging perpendicular to the axis of rotation and n brushes (20), regularly distributed and associated with n radial brush guidance systems, n being a whole number of at least 2. Each brush is provided with grooves (25, 26) on the lateral face thereof (21, 22) and is connected to an elastic means (40). The support has n housings (50), each housing may house a brush and the associated elastic means with a base (49) essentially perpendicular to the axis and an upper open face parallel to the base. The upper open face is partially encased by two rigid sheets (60, 61) separate from the support but attached thereto such as to project over said upper open face and engage in the radial grooves (25, 26) of the brush thus trapping the brush and the elastic means thereof (for example a compression spring) in said housing. |
