ACTIVE HOOD SYSTEM OF AUTOMOBILE

An active hood system for a vehicle is provided to save the manufacturing cost and remove operating noise as compared with a conventional actuator system made from steel material. An active hood system for a vehicle comprises a damper(10) is expanded or compressed between a hood(2) and a vehicle body(4) in upper and lower directions. A damper operating member(20) allows the damper to be expanded in an upper direction when impact is applied to the hood. A link(30) is hinged to the hood(2) and the vehicle body to rotate. A latch(40) restricts a maximum rotation angle of the link. The damper comprises a rubber bag, which has a flap into which working force is transferred from the damper operating member, and a spring installed in the rubber bag. The rubber bag has an orifice for performing a damping function when the damper is expanded.
