A drain valve for a bathroom sink is provided to prevent a drain pipe from clogging by hair and other falling substance, and to facilitate the removal of hair without disassembling the drain pipe, by filtering hair and falling substances at a mid-lower part of the drain valve. A drain valve for a bathroom sink, which moves up at an inlet of a drain port of the bathroom sink to fill or drain water, comprises a rim(3), and a vertical semicircular groove(4). The rim, which is made of rubber, PVC(Poly Vinyl Chloride), or wire, is attached at a mid-lower part of a drain valve body to filter hair. The vertical semicircular groove is contoured at a bottom of a lower part of the drain valve body to facilitate operation with an operating lever shaft without interfering drainage of water. |
