<p>Pharmaceutical composition (I) for contraception and to reduce the risk of congenital malformations comprises a daily dose of 2 mg or 1.5 mg of 17alpha -cyanomethyl-17-beta -hydroxyestra-4,9-diene-3-one (dienogest), 0.015 mg of 17 alpha -ethinylestradiol (ethinylestradiol) and (6S)-5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate, together with pharmaceutical acceptable auxiliary agents/carriers. An independent claim is included for a kit comprising 21 daily dose unit of (I) and 7 daily dose unit of (6S)-5-methylhydrofolate.
