Method and device for the production of variable amounts of a pressurized product by cryogenic gas separation

Pressurized product is variably extracted by low-temperature gas fractionation in which feed gas is cooled and taken to distillation column system (12) to produce liquid state product stream being brought to high pressure for (pseudo)-evaporation by indirect heat exchange with heat carrier stream partially (pseudo) condensed. The (pseudo)-evaporated stream is removed in variable quantities where heat quantity transferred in indirect heat exchange is balanced and target value for stream(s) volume involved in indirect heat exchange is calculated from this balance as part of feed forward control. Independent claims are included for: (1) an apparatus for variable extraction of a pressurized product; (2) a method of controlling a flow through a heat exchanger;and (3) an apparatus for controlling a flow through a heat exchanger.
