<p>The mechanism has a threaded component (1) threaded into an existing bore-hole in a wheel rim (3) and supported partially with its front surface on a carrier plate (5). The threaded component is screwed into a tapped hole to cause forcing away of the wheel rim directly from the carrier plate of the hub. The tapped hole is provided with an engaged threaded insert (10), in which the threaded component is partially, adjacently threaded with its front surface against a supporting surface on the carrier plate of the hub. An independent claim is also included for a tool for pulling off a wheel from a wheel hub for use with a pull off mechanism.</p> |
