The arrangement has a polarization device with a crystal polarizer (P), where a light incident region is provided upstream of the polarization device, and the light incident region forms a spatial acceptance angle of the polarizer. A light emission region is provided downstream of the polarization device. An intermediate region in the polarization device connects the light incident region and the light emission region, and is formed with an optical path length of about 4 millimeters for light in the polarizer, where the light penetrates within the spatial acceptance angle. An independent claim is also included for a method for polarization dependent spectroscopic examination of a measurement light.
