The method involves providing a clip device with a first opening (23) and spring elements (24,25) and an attachment device (11) with at least one second opening that clamps an attachment lug of an airbag, positioning the clip device and attachment arrangement so that the openings are aligned, pushing a bolt through the openings, clipping the spring elements into a section of the vehicle body with openings for them and spreading the elements by screwing in the bolt.
