A SYSTEM FOR SENSING VEHICLES MOVE IN ANOTHER LANE AND CONTROLLING METHOD THE SAME

A lane deviation detecting system and a control method thereof are provided to raise a safety level of a driver by generating an alarm signal to a driver, when the driver deviates from a lane. A lane deviation detecting system includes a side displacement sensor(2), a speed sensor(4), a controller(6), and a signal display unit(8). The side displacement sensor is implemented at a predetermined position on a road and measures a side displacement of a vehicle. The speed sensor is implemented on a predetermined position of the road and measures a current speed of the vehicle. The controller receives sensor signals from the side displacement sensor and the speed sensor, compares a difference between the vehicle speed and the side displacement, and collects various data. The signal display unit receives a control signal from the controller and displays a deviation signal to the driver.
