A method and an apparatus for interfacing through an OTG function in a mobile phone are provided to use an OTG function of a USB to connect the mobile phone with a storage card reader directly, thereby storing files without a PC and an additional device in the mobile phone. A display(106) displays a list of files stored in an EFS(Embedded File System) and displays files designated for transmission. An input unit(109) processes a command inputted from a user. An OTG(On-The-Go) transceiver(115) controls signals and changes a voltage to be appropriate for USB(Universal Serial Bus) communication. A storing unit(112) includes an EFS area and stores all kinds of files. A USB interface(118) is installed to be connected with a storage memory card reader(200). When a mobile phone(100) is connected with the storage memory card reader through the USB interface, a mobile station modem(103) operates an OTG driver and operates an application program for accessing the files stored in the EFS to transmit the stored files to the storage memory card reader.
