An optical unit, a backlight assembly including the same and a display device including the same are provided to provide white light to a display panel without using an expensive light emitting diode generating white light by changing white light while blue light generated from the light emitting diode is incident to an optical body. An optical body includes a plurality of side surfaces having a light incidence surface(12a) receiving blue light, and a light emitting surface(14) connected to the side surfaces. An optical unit(100) includes a yellow fluorescent layer(20) disposed at the light incidence surface to change the blue light to the white light. The yellow fluorescent layer includes a first yellow fluorescent portion and a second yellow fluorescent portion. The first yellow fluorescent portion has a first thickness, and the second yellow fluorescent portion has a second thickness thicker than the first thickness.
