FIELD: process for preparing of fresh garlic for further usage in space feeding. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves sequentially extracting Pythium insidiosum micromycet biomass using non-polar extractant in above-critical state, water, alkali, water, acid, water, alkali, and water; joining first extract with solid residue for producing of preparation from biomass; sterilizing distilled water, gauze wads and smoking paper; preparing 70%-ethyl alcohol solution and 0.005%-suspension of biomass preparation using sterilized distilled water; inspecting garlic; wiping each head with sterilized gauze wad soaked in ethyl alcohol solution; dividing into cloves; washing using ethyl alcohol solution with neck part being oriented downward; holding in biomass preparation suspension at room temperature during 10 min; drying at temperature of 305 C until residual moisture content of fruit coat is 18-20%; wiping each clove of garlic using sterilized gauze wad soaked in ethyl alcohol solution; providing ultraviolet radiation of garlic during 30 min at each opposite side at radiation power of 1.5-2.5 W/m3; packaging each 5 cloves in smoking paper under aseptic conditions and placing in single layers into sterile polymeric trays. ^ EFFECT: prolonged storage life of fresh garlic. ^ 1 ex |
