A system and a method for a video-mail service between different systems are provided to offer a video mailbox function by storing an A/V(Audio/Video) message from a video phone, and transforming the A/V message into various kinds of formats available in a PC, a mobile phone, and a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). A video message server system(300) connects a call received from video phones(100,101) through a gate keeper(200). The gate keeper(200) connects the call to the video message server system by transforming an IP(Internet Protocol) address of the video phone. The video message server system stores an A/V message received from the video phone in various video formats and stores the A/V message to an A/V message database to allow a predetermined user to access the stored A/V message. A web server(500) enables a PC system(600) and a mobile phone/PDA(700) for playing the A/V message stored in the predetermined format to search/play the predetermined A/V message stored in the A/V message database after authentication. |
