A pharmaceutical composition comprising a material inhibiting activity or expression of L1CAM(L1 cell adhesion molecule) as a protein present in the cell surface of cholangiocarcinoma is provided to treat cholangiocarcinoma by inhibiting the growth, invasion and movement of cholangiocarcinoma and inducing apoptosis. A pharmaceutical composition for treating cholangiocarcinoma comprises a material inhibiting activity or expression of L1CAM, wherein the L1CAM activity-inhibiting material is selected from anti-L1CAM antibody, a fragment binding to an antigen of anti-L1CAM antibody and a mutant of the fragment binding to the anti-L1CAM antibody or its antigen, and the L1CAM expression-inhibiting material is an L1CAM expression-inhibiting oligonucleotide which is selected from antisense oligonucleotide against a gene encoding L1CAM, siRNA(small interfering RNA) and shRNA(small hairpin RNA); and the anti-L1CAM antibody is 4-63 or UJ127 produced from a hybridoma(KCTC 10966BP). Further, the siRNA has an order of 5'-TGGTACAGTCTFFFdtdt-3' or 5'-CAGCAACTTTGCTCAGAGGdtdt-3'.
