<p>A thermostatic mixer valve includes a body for mounting in or on a wall, parallel to the wall. The body includes a central cavity, inlets for hot and cold water, and an mixed water outlet. The mixer valve also includes at least one cartridge housed in the body to control the temperature of the mixed water and in some embodiments the flow rate. Actuation of the valve is by rotary movement of a temperature control knob. Actuation means is provided for at right angles to the axis of the cartridge.
