<p>An enzyme electrode, an enzyme sensor containing the electrode, a fuel cell containing the electrode, and a method for preparing the enzyme electrode are provided to improve the number or turnover, current and integrated charge by increasing the transfer velocity of an electron from the active site of an enzyme to a carrier molecule. An enzyme electrode comprises an enzyme(1000); a conductive membrane(1010) where the enzyme is fixed; a metal complex(1020) which is electrically connected with the conductive member; and an amino acid(1040) which is arranged at the active site(1030) inside the enzyme or the controlled position adjacent to the active site, wherein the amino acid is coordinated with the metal complex. Preferably the amino acid is histidine.</p> |
