<p>An access point apparatus in a mesh network and a handoff method are provided to prevent service delay by reducing handoff time by using data obtained from previous authentication/association processes during handoff. In an MAP(Mesh Access Point) apparatus(300) for forming a wireless mesh network by being wirelessly connected to a neighboring MAP and a terminal, the apparatus comprises the followings. An authentication/association unit(340) performs authentication/association processes with the connected terminal. An authentication/association agent(360) performs previous authentication/association processes of the connection terminal and the neighboring MAP.</p> |
