A recording-reproduction apparatus, a reproducing apparatus, a recording apparatus, and an image-capturing recording reproduction apparatus are provided to change one function to another function simply in performing various operations. An operation unit(24) includes an operation element. A control unit(21) displays a discrimination figure indicating a current operating state of a recording-reproduction apparatus at the center of an operating-content-viewing region, and generates a display command signal for displaying a plurality of discrimination figures provided as guide signs to which recording or reproduction operation content has been assigned around the discrimination figure indicating the current operating state. An output unit outputs a display signal prepared from the display command signal generated by the controller. The operation unit performs operation with respect to at least four operation directions. |
