A block for a retaining wall is provided to reduce the number of components and to be stripped off from a main girder easily, not to damage the external appearance of a retaining wall and to prevent forward movement, and to regulate vertical and longitudinal gradients of a retaining wall easily. A block for a retaining wall includes a pair of side walls(10,20) arranged at a certain distance and provided with upper pin grooves(11) to insert an activity prevention pin(40) for preventing blocks for a retaining wall piled on the upper story from being pushed forward and lower pin grooves(12) to insert an activity prevention pin inserted to blocks for a retaining wall piled on the lower story, a front wall(30) connecting front ends of a left side wall and a right side wall and forming a vegetation space together with a vegetation space director plate, a vegetation space director plate(50) forming and protecting a vegetation space to prevent aggregates from flowing into the vegetation space and formed to be stepped upward from the bottom of a pair of the side walls to keep roots of plants in the vegetation space spread to rear soil, and an overturn prevention plate(60) placed and supported between compacted aggregates to prevent a block for a retaining wall from overturning forward, wherein the activity prevention pins are inserted to the upper pin grooves of blocks for a retaining wall on the upper story and the lower story not to be exposed to the outside of a retaining wall, thereby to improve the outward appearance of a retaining wall, and to prevent the forward movement of the blocks for a retaining wall, and the upper pin grooves and the lower pin grooves are formed at regular intervals in the longitudinal directions to regulate a gradient of a retaining wall precisely. |
