Display based on edited advertisement data distributed from a distribution server (20) is performed on a large display (312) and a sub display (322) in a synchronized manner by a set top box (301B). User data stored in an IC card (40) is read by a reader/writer (304) provided on the sub display (322). According to the read user data, control is performed to modify the contents displayed by the large display (312) and the sub display (322). That is, according to the information stored in a memory carried by a user such as a consumer, advertisement display appropriate for the user is performed.
