A catalyst for olefin polymerization which is composed of (A) a solid catalyst component containing magnesium, titanium, halogen, and an electron-donating compound, (B) an organo-aluminum compound represented by the general formula: R6pAlQ3-p and (C) an aminosilane compound represented by the general formula: R3 nSi(NR4R5)4-n; and a process for the production of olefin polymers by conducting the polymerization in the presence of the catalyst. The invention provides novel aminosilane compounds; catalyst components and catalysts for olefin polymerization which have high catalytic activity and enable the production of highly stereoregular polymers in high yields and which exhibit good hydrogen response; and a process for the production of olefin polymers with the catalyst. |
