A stand for hanging a placard is provided to minimize a damage of the placard by coping with wind pressure by rotating the placard at the time of installing, uninstalling, and replacing the placard. A stand for hanging a placard includes a supporter(10), a main chain(20), a movable member(30), a placard rotating unit, a placard tension regulating unit(50), a placard cradling bar(60), and a chain driving member(70). The supporter forms a frame of stand for hanging the placard. The supporter is composed of a pair of vertical members(12) and horizontal members(18). The pair of vertical members has predetermined lengths. The main chain connects first and second sprockets(72,74) to a space unit of each vertical member in a length direction. The main chain rotates by receiving power from the chain driving member. The movable member is constituted of movable elements arranged in the space unit of each vertical member in a length direction at regular intervals.
