An audio system with a multiplex media play function and a method thereof are provided to increase user convenience since a user needs not change the mode and deck to play desired audio. An audio system with a multiplex media play function comprises a compact disk/digital video disk player, an MP player(70), an audio processor(50), a displayer(40), a memory(20), and an audio control part(10). The compact disk/digital video disk player has a plurality of decks(60). The audio control part selects at least two media from a user, displays the multiple media play information of the selected media on the displayer, reads out the audio stored in the media from the player, and plays the audio through the audio processor. The control part randomly plays the audio of the selected media when the user selects the random mode.
