OPTICAL CONNECTOR, OPTICAL FIBER MODULE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME

An optical connector, an optical fiber module and a method for assembling the same are provided easily to perform a contacting process by using optical parts exposed through an opening formed at a connecter plug and an adapter. An optical connector includes a connecter plug maintaining a ferrule(14) having an optical fiber(13). An adapter(60) has a receptacle part receiving the ferrule therein. The adapter receives the connecter plug therein. An opening(60d) is formed at least one side of the connecter plug and the adapter. The opening exposes the contacting portion of the optical parts of the connecter plug and the adapter contacted from each other by receiving the connecter plug into the adapter. The opening formed at the connecter plug and the adapter is formed at the sleeve(40) of the receptacle and the contacting portion of the ferrule.
