An electric cooktop using a sheet type heating element is provided to reduce power consumption by increasing thermal efficiency according to a direct heating method using a heating plate. An electric cooktop(100) using a sheet type heating element includes a housing(10), a heating plate, and a metallic sheet type heating element(20). The heating plate is held on the top surface of the housing. The metallic sheet type heating element is provided on the bottom surface of the heating plate. The heating plate is composed of a clad alloy plate(11) of stainless. The metallic sheet type heating element includes a ceramic insulating layer, a metallic resistor paste layer, a conductive electrode paste layer, and an insulating polymeric layer. |
