Method for surgical treatment of patients with invasive forms of differentiated thyroid cancer complicated with larynx paresis in which one performs pre-operation larynx investigation through laryngoscopy, trachea – through tracheobronchoscopy, and during operation one additionally performs electro-physiological neuro-monitoring of rotary larynx nerve (standard equipment NIM 2, Xomed, Medtronic, USA) and in case of persisting response with any amplitude from vocal fold of respective side on irritation of nerve with low strength electric current (1-2 mA) one makes decision on removal of growth of thyroid gland, as well as in cases of persisting larynx function by data of pre-operation laryngoscopy. |
