The process for recycling bitumen sheets, comprises attaining a sufficient temperature of the bitumen sheets to form a liquid, and horizontally pressing the sheets to expel the maximum of bitumen. Heating temperature and pressure are changed according to a nature of the sheet and a viscosity of the bitumen respectively.
