The assembly has a magnetic applicator (15`) for applying cosmetic/dermatological product on a keratinous material/fiber. A product application assisting device (3) comprises a fixation unit (5) e.g. ring, removably fixed to a finger, hand or wrist, and a vibration source e.g. piezoelectric vibrator, for producing vibrations. Control units control the operation of the vibration source, and an adjusting unit adjusts the frequency and amplitude of the vibrations. An independent claim is also included for a method for cosmetic treatment.
