A method and a system for managing subscriber location information in a portable Internet network are provided to enable an AAA(Accounting Authentication Authorization) to manage the subscriber location information of a PSS(Portable Subscriber Station), thereby reducing costs required for additionally configuring a special server, and constructing a data reception service providing infra where the AAA subscriber provides the subscriber location information during a data reception service. An AAA(Accounting Authentication Authorization)(140) receives an authentication request message, including subscriber location information and NAI(Network Access Identifier) of a PSS(Portable Subscriber Station)(110), from an ACR(Access Control Router)(130) when the ACR requests authentication of the PSS to the AAA after location registration of the PSS is performed(S210,S220). If the authentication request message is adequate, the AAA authenticates the PSS and stores the subscriber location information in a subscriber location information database(S230,S240). The AAA provides the subscriber location information to a reception server for providing a data reception service to the PSS or transmits a session release message to the ACR corresponding to the subscriber location information after inquiring the subscriber location information if the limitation of the PSS is exceeded.
