<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device, capable of obtaining a working pressure according to the hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic pressure chamber while suppressing reduction in responsiveness of operation even if operating oil supplied to the hydraulic pressure chamber contains air. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device is adapted to close the opening side of a recessed part 7 provided in a casing 10 to constitute the hydraulic pressure chamber 8 and to axially slide by supply of operating oil to the hydraulic pressure chamber 8. The device includes an outer seal lip 5a contacting with a circumferential wall surface 21 of the hydraulic pressure chamber 8. The outer seal lip 5a includes a projection part which forms a flow passage for releasing air contained in the operating oil in the hydraulic pressure chamber 8 out of the chamber 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
