<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control volume balance between the audio signal of a target sound source and the audio signal of another sound source in accordance with user's preference. <P>SOLUTION: In an audio signal processing unit 2, the first audio signal of a sound source previously instructed by a separating angle instruction signal S1 or the like from a system controller 4 and the second audio signal of the other sound source are separated, the volume balance between the separated first audio signal and second audio signal is investigated and in accordance with the result of the investigation and a volume balance instruction signal S2 from the system controller 4, a volume adjustment value for the first audio signal and a volume adjustment value for the second audio signal are specified.
