<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system in which a user can view an animated advertisement with arbitrary timing during distribution of contents, and to provide a distribution control method, distribution program and recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: When reproducing contents on a user terminal, information on distributable animated advertisements is displayed together; and when the user designates an animated advertisement therein, streaming distribution of the designated animated advertisement is performed by interrupting the contents being reproduced. When the designated animated advertisement is finished reproducing, the interrupted contents are resumed.
