<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video content display system and a video display device that enable a plurality of viewers who obtain the same video contents from different video content sources to view the same video contents at synchronized timing. <P>SOLUTION: A local device 110 and a remote device 120 have video content source tables (112, 122) containing source data Sd representing kinds of various video content sources which can be provided and control data Cd for controlling the video content sources represented by the source data Sd by video contents, respectively.
