<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer capable of considerably cutting down a fuel cost while continuously and efficiently drying food remnants, animal dung, garbage, or the like with a large moisture content by combining both characteristics of an internal combustion type and an external combustion type. <P>SOLUTION: The dryer comprises a drying cylinder 2 with one end provided with a hopper 9 supplied with a dried object 8 and with the other end formed with a discharge port 10 of the dried object 8. The drying cylinder 2 laterally penetrates a drying furnace 1 so that both ends are located outside the furnace. A screw conveyor 3 is mounted to convey the burned object 8 thrown into the drying cylinder 1 from the hopper 9. Further, a side wall of the drying furnace 1 is provided with a hot blast supply port 4 for supplying hot blast into the furnace, and a hot blast exhaust pipe 15 is mounted to the upper part of the drying furnace 1 and connected to a chimney 17 through a heat exchanger 16. A hot blast supply pipe 20 is provided for supplying hot blast of outside air heated through the heat exchanger 16, into the drying cylinder 2, and a waste heat exhaust pipe 21 is provided for exhausting waste heat which heated and dried the dried object 8 in the drying cylinder 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
