摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion picture decoding device using a post filtering for eliminating encoding distortion generated in decoding compressed data based on MPEG-2 or the like. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the motion picture decoding device which decodes data encoded using motion compensated prediction and orthogonal transformation encoding. The device is equipped with a detector which detects a block having no alternating component of a DCT coefficient from the encoded data, an estimating means which estimates a decreasing degree of a given amount of high-frequency components owing to a process for producing motion-compensated-prediction images based on value of less than one pixel of motion vector, and a post filtering processor which weakens the intensity of a filter to suppress the coding distortion applied to the block having no alternating component of the DCT coefficient as the decreasing degrees becomes larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
