PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multilayer film having high brightness and surface glossiness, a low specific gravity and excellent heat insulating properties so as to obtain a recorded image having high clarity, to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a water dispersion of hollow polymer particle for obtaining the multilayer film. SOLUTION: The water dispersion comprises hollow polymer particles having a number-average particle diameter in a specific range and the ratio of the particles having particle diameters of 3-60μm of≤1,000 ppm. The multilayer film is obtained by laminating a layer containing the hollow polymer particle to a substrate layer.
