PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting system having a versatile light source unit which can be commonly fitted to a plurality of kinds of vehicular lighting systems having different angles of the optical axis. SOLUTION: The vehicular lighting system 1A comprises a functional unit 3A having a substrate 7 with a light source unit 5A and a switch unit 6 mounted thereon, and a housing 40 which is arranged closer to an occupant cabin side than the functional unit 3A with the functional unit 3A mounted thereon. The housing 40 has an erection part 40f erected on a vehicle body panel side from an inner edge of a through hole 40e for passing the light of the light source unit 5A to the occupant cabin side. An abutting surface 40g abutted on the light source unit 5A of the erection part 40f is arranged orthogonal to the preset optical axis L. The light source unit 5A and the substrate 7 are connected to each other via a compression coil spring 11 for displaceably supporting the light source unit 5A by the substrate 7 by abutting the light source unit 5A on the abutting surface 40g.
