PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device that can be stably driven. SOLUTION: The optical device 1 is provided with a planar mass section 21 having a main body part 211 and an optical reflection part 212, a support section 22 for supporting the mass section 21, a pair of elastically deformable elastic sections 24, 25 that connects the mass section 21 and the support section 22 in a manner making the mass section 21 turnable for the support section 22, and a driving means for rotatably driving the mass section 21. The optical device 1 is configured to turn the mass section 21, to reflect light on the optical reflection part 212 and to scan, while twisting/deforming the elastic sections 24, 25, by operating the driving means. The mass section 21 is provided with a heat radiator part 4 which is composed of a material having a higher heat conductivity than the component material of the main body part 211, on the side opposite from the optical reflection part 212 of the main body part 211.
