PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small/thin lateral push type double action push switch without needing to convert lateral operation force to force in a direction perpendicular to the operation direction. SOLUTION: This double action push switch is provided with: a push button 4 operated in the lateral direction; a moving contact 7 held to the push button 4 and having elasticity; a circular arc-like metal plate spring 8 arranged on an arrangement surface vertical to the operation direction of the push button 4; a common terminal 3C; a first terminal 5; and a second terminal 6. The moving contact 7 is moved in the lateral direction according to the operation of the push button 4 to electrically connect the common terminal 3C to the first terminal 5 to provide a first-stage electric signal, and thereafter the push button 4 presses and inverts the metal plate spring 8 to electrically connect the common terminal 3C to the second terminal 6 through the first terminal 5 to provide a second-stage electric signal.
