PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display image of high quality by reducing reflection light at a metal wiring or the like on a cathode substrate, and by suppressing contrast reduction of an image and generation of mixed colors since this reflection light emitted from an anode substrate is mixed with light directly emitted to an observer side from the anode substrate. SOLUTION: By adjusting film forming conditions such as temperature at spattering the upper part electrode AED constituting an electron source ELS on the cathode substrate SUB1, surface unevenness is increased, and reflectivity is reduced.
