PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a means by which the generation of hydrogen in a silicone-coated powder can be suppressed, or the reaction (crosslinking) of an alkoxy group can be carried out sufficiently. SOLUTION: The desired silicone-treated powder can be obtained by heating powder particles covered or surface-adsorbed with a silicone compound having one or more Si-H groups or a specific alkoxysilane with microwave in a state in contact with silicon carbide particles.
