PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for a steering wheel capable of freely setting the position of an electrode for power supply irrespective of the shape of the steering wheel. SOLUTION: The heater for the steering wheel comprises a mesh-like heating element 12 in which a plurality of insulated heater strands 11 are warp-knit, and electrodes 13A, 13B are separately provided at both ends 12A, 12B in the warp-knitting direction V as a loop binding direction, and an insulation unit 10 composed of an insulating wire 11' for electrically separating the mesh-like heating element 12 into two sections in the warp-knitting direction V and a direction H orthogonal thereto. A mesh-like heating element 12a out of the mesh-like heating elements 12a, 12b which are electrically separated into two sections by the insulation unit 10 is separated in the warp-knitting direction V, and electrodes 14A, 14B for power supply are provided at separation ends of two mesh-like heating elements 12aa, 12ab.
