The thermo-generator (10) has thermoelectric units (25n, 25p), which are connected with each other and are arranged on an outer side of a delivery pipe (11). The thermoelectric units are formed as ring units, which surround the delivery pipe. The thermoelectric units are arranged behind each other in an axial direction of the delivery pipe and are insulated against each other at front sides by insulation layers (32). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a circular thermoelectric unit.
