<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted to correctly recognize the number of sheets reduced by each sheet reduction function. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device forming images on sheets has a sheet reduction means to reduce the number of sheets to use for forming images, and a sheet number counter to count the sheets reduced by this sheet reduction means.
