<p>The invention relates to a method and a corresponding device for reducing vibrations that are caused by a flat spot of a Steckel roll (1) in a Steckel mill. An adjustable roll (3) is mounted between the Steckel roll (1) of the Steckel furnace and the driver (2) of the roll stand (5) and can be contacted with the rolling stock (6).
