<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank by input of little energy, when stopping operation of an internal combustion engine, in an evaporated fuel processing system of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: When stopping an engine 2, a catalyst 6 is heated by a heater 42 up to a predetermined temperature. When the temperature of the catalyst 6 rises up to the predetermined temperature, purge gas including the evaporated fuel generated in the fuel tank 30 is supplied to the catalyst 6. After starting supply of the purge gas, the supply of the purge gas is stopped when the fuel concentration of the purge gas supplied to the catalyst 6 decreases down to a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
