<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam regenerative amplifier capable of outputting an average output with high efficiency, repetition, and an output level, by a simple resonator structure without introducing a complicated optical path and an apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a laser beam regenerative amplifier having a ring-type resonator with the resonator having a lens 3, a laser medium 4 disposed at a beam waist position of a resonator mode beam from the lens 3, wherein by reducing an influence given to a resonator mode beam radius at an incident position of the laser medium 4 by a thermal lens generated in the laser medium 4, and by setting a focal distance of the lens 3 and the resonator length to prescribed values, the resonator mode beam radius at the incident position of the laser medium 4 is set at a value to allow the laser medium 4 to have a gain suitable for this laser regenerative amplifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
